Fisher DLC3100 Digital Level Controllers

Product Introduction

Fisher DLC3100 is a high-performance digital liquid level controller based on microprocessors under Fisher, equipped with the 249 float type liquid level sensor series, mainly used for these models 249B/249C/249K/249L/249P/249BP/249CP/249VS/249W. The device supports multi parameter measurement of liquid level, liquid-liquid interface, and liquid density, compatible with mainstream industrial control systems, and can output standard 4-20mA analog signals, paired with HART digital communication protocol.

DLC3100 is an upgraded series of DLC3010. DHL3010 has been discontinued and there is still a small amount of stock available. For details, please refer to the DHL3010 page.

Working Principle

The Fisher DLC3100 digital liquid level controller operates based on the principle of buoyancy displacement sensing. The core of its DLC3100 consists of three parts: a float sensing component, a torque tube assembly, and a microprocessor measurement and control unit. When the equipment is working, the internal float sensor of the 249 series tank undergoes buoyancy changes due to the buoyancy of the liquid. Minor changes in liquid level, interface, or liquid density are converted into changes in float load, which in turn drives the torque tube to produce precise angular displacement deformation. Thus, the change in liquid level can be measured.

The device is equipped with a high-precision detection module to collect real-time torque tube deformation data. Through signal filtering, temperature compensation, and algorithm calculation by a microprocessor, the physical deformation signal is accurately converted into corresponding liquid level, interface, and density values. Finally, a 4-20mA standard analog signal is output, and digital working condition data is synchronously transmitted through the HART protocol. It can be configured in collaboration with other automatic devices to achieve real-time monitoring, precise control, and data remote transmission.
